The english languagae and literature

Professors and assistant teachers of  English Language and Literature Department wrote articles that were also published abroad. Namely, Associate Professor D. Seitova with her articles  “Writing, it’s types”, “Geneological classification of languages”, N. Zairova and her articles “Маиший техника терминлари инглиз тилидан узбек тилига таржима килишнинг лексик муоммалари” were published in Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky, Ukraine on March 30, a scientific thesis of the assistant of the department G.Nazhimova “Non-verbal behavior of the Karakalpaks”, as well as an article by D.Hadzhiyeva and a 3-year student of X.Allamuratova, «Educating young people as a loyal adherent to their culture and national values»was published in collection of the international conference “Scientific mechanisms for solving problems of innovative solutions”. In general, a number of articles were published in various journals.

The articles by V. Dzhumabayeva and A. Toleubayeva “Useful strategies and techniques in teaching Reading”, article by Z. Hudaybergenova and 3-year student S. Dzhalgasova ” Шекспир асарларида фалсафана рух “, article by G. Nazhimova ” Каракалпаклардин  созсиз ис харекетлердеги кинетикалык куралларын колланылыуы ” were published in scientific journal “Scitechnology”. The article by the assistant of the department G.Nazhimova ” Кинетические средства в невербальном поведении каракалпаков ” was published in the Bulletin of KSU. In addition, professors and teachers of the department of English Language and Literature have created a number of textbooks.

Namely, D.Hadzhiyeva’s monograph “Структурно-функциональная характеристика и валентность глагольных словосочетаний ” and “Stylistics and text interpretation”, a textbook by J. Kurbanbaev ” Инглис хам каракалпак тиллеринин салыстырмалы типологиясы”.

The educational-methodical reference book of J. Kurbanbayev and S. Baimuratova under the title “Медицина касп-онер колледжлеринде инглис тилин уйретиу” were published, the educational-methodical reference book D. Seitova “Программирование обучение английскому языку”,“Assess your reading”  by Y. Mamutova and Z. Utesheva, a study guide “Learn by pictures” under the authorship of Y. Mamutova and 2-year student A. Ernazarova, training guide “English has no equals” under the authorship of D. Badirova and V. Dzhumabayeva, training guide “English is a key to success” under authored by S. Kudaibergenova, V. Dzhumabayeva and D. Badirova, educational handbook “Get a handle on your reading” under the authorship of A. Toleubaeva, V. Dzhumabayeva, Z. Hudaybergenova. Professors and assistant teachers of the department actively participate in conferences with their own theses, and a collection of their scientific articles have been published.

In particular, an article by Z. Hudaibergenova and a 3-year student D. Abdinabieva entitled “Visually impaired students and language acquisition” was published in the scientific conference “Problems of learning and teching English: Innovations and perspectives”. Assistants of the department A.Musayev and Z.Hudaybergenov participated in a scientific-practical conference on the problems of building intercultural attitudes in teaching languages, and their scientific article titled “International communication and its usage in teaching foreign languages” was published in a collection of articles. With her thesis, S. Kudaibergenova took part in the scientific-practical conference “Использование современных педагогических и информационных технологий и их значение в обучении иностранного языка” and published an article entitled «Using mutua learning technique in English classroom ».

In December 2018 Assistant  G.Dzholdasova,  supervised by Associate Professor A.Kuldashev defended her thesis “The Cognitive Aspect of Polyvalent Action Verbs in Modern English”. Until today, G. Joldasova has published 4 scientific article in a foreign journal, 2 scientific theses in foreign conferences, 5 scientific articles in journals of the HAC, 11 scientific theses in republican conferences.

In 2017-2018 a fourth-year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the Department of English Language and Literature Ibrahimova Nazokat received a Navoi scholarship. In 2018-2019 a third-year student Keulimzhaeva Gulmira received a Berdakh scholarship, and a third-year Allamuratova Khurliman student received a Navoi scholarship. The department holds various events for the development of national and cultural spirituality in students. Every year a number of events are held at the university, such as literary evenings, quizzes, discussions.

In addition, there are extra curricular activities such as Reading Club, Speaking Club. At the beginning of the year, a work program was created, according to which events are held every month. Students are asked questions on the books they read, get acquainted with the biography and work of great English writers, expand vocabulary, discuss the main characters of a literary work, and also make a stylistic analysis.

MANUALS AND TEACHING AIDS PUBLISHED BY THE STAFF OF DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

 

In 2018 under the authorship of D. Khadjiyeva and a graduate student Z. Sarsenbayeva, educational and methodical guide “Stylistics and text interpretation” was printed. This educational and methodical reference book contains a comparative analysis of the use of phraseological combinations in the English and Karakalpak languages.
In 2017 D. Khadjieva’s monograph “Structural and functional characteristics and valence of verbal combinations” was printed with the stamp “Karakalpakstan”. This monograph analyzes the structural, functional and valent changes of verbal phrases at different stages of the development of the history of the English language.
In 2018 the educational and methodical reference book of associate professor D. Seitova under the title “Programmed teaching of the English language” was printed. This educational handbook is intended to repeat the grammar, to strengthen the material, as well as to overcome some difficulties in learning English.

 

In 2018 an associate professor of the department Dj. Kurbanbayev and S. Baimuratova published “Learning to read in English in medical professional colleges.” This textbook is intended to carry out the task of teaching students of medical professional colleges to read in English.
In 2018 the textbook of an associate professor of the department Dj. Kurbanbaev entitled “Comparative typology of the English and Karakalpak languages” was published. In this textbook, the category of case in the English and Karakalpak languages belonging to different systems is examined in comparative form.

In 2018 the textbook “English has no equals” was published under the authorship of teachers and professors of the department D. Badirova and V. Dzhumabaeva ”. This manual is intended for students of schools, lyceums, colleges, as well as for those students who are not studying in the specialty of English language, and is intended to develop their skills to speak English, as well as their knowledge of grammar through various exercises.

This tutorial consists of three parts. The first part contains lectures for the course, in the second part assignments are given for seminars and test for students is given in the third part.
In 2018, a coursebook “History of American Literature” was published, the authors of which are the teachers of this department, Ph.D. D.Khadzhieva, assistant G.Nazhimova and an Englsh teacher of “Progress” school V.Arzymbetova. This tutorial consists of three parts. The first part contains lectures for the course, in the second part assignments are given for seminars and test for students is given in the third part.
